Stage spotlight eyes?

I was staring directly into the bright, yellow stage lights in an orchestra hall for about five seconds while wearing nearsighted glasses. It was very bright. I was still able to see fairly normally afterwards. Is that very dangerous? I don't feel like going to the eye doctor right now because of this.
