Does magnesium citrate cause blood in the stool?

I've been taking magnesium citrate and vitamin D3 since yesterday. This morning, I noticed blood in my stool, even though it was soft. So it wasn't due to constipation or a tear. Is it the magnesium or vitamin D3? Should I stop taking it?

Never heard, on the contrary, magnesium makes the chair soft and thus prevents injuries.

An excessively high dose of magnesium citrate can also stimulate the intestine excessively and to very soft chair or Diarrhea which in turn leads to a slight irritation or injury of the anal mucosa could lead and cause blood in the chair.

Magnesium citrate usually causes no blood in the chairbut it can have side effects like Diarrhea or Irritation causing bleeding
