If they are still empty or rewritable, they can also be described and read anyway, provided that the device with which you want to play them could do so beforehand, and the device with which you want to describe them could do so both earlier and still can. (For as far as the latter is concerned, only because a burner could do this does not mean that it still can. I have to lie around some of the well-deserved burners that can still play, and maybe they can even burn CDs or DVDs, but otherwise they can only play, but the complete operational capability is over with the ones that have been replaced from the use, but that doesn’t change the fact that I could describe any CDs or DVDs with the currently in use.)
Addendum: For example, one or two years ago, for my 3 Technics SC-DV290 plants, I burned 3 DVDs with music videos and 2 CDs with songs, which worked great both from burning and still provides good services in the plants. In itself, these systems are really top for their current state of development and are still fully ready for use (of Technics, I have a very good impression anyway in terms of half-life), only unfortunately there was no USB on such systems or HDMI or comparable, but otherwise, for example, the 5-channel sound had already been very well equipped, that is, really sufficient to have DVD films spoken in and to enjoy the sound of space sufficiently integrated.
The other day, for a few friends, once again, the torch is excavated.
They only have mp3 CD format for the car and needed music:D
But otherwise, I don’t know what I still have.
Lg
I even have an external DVD burner and hold the blanks 😀
Had a couple of months ago videos overplayed on what I recorded myself (from my birthday z.b)
Yes, only externally
The new “gaming” housings, do not offer any drives option anymore.
Jo agrees:D Unless the “Gaming” case still have a slit open where one can build one more… But extremely rare
However, not all – many are of such moderate quality that they are no longer descriptible.
Due to the low distribution of optical drives, the usage radius is naturally quite limited, but still present.
With today’s usual file sizes and thanks to the capacity and price of today’s USB sticks and memory cards, the use is additionally restricted.
Joa for backups I use external hard drives
The media are complementary, I think:
Optical data carriers are sensitive to UV light and aging, but are not sensitive to static electrical and magnetic fields and vibrations.
Flash media (USB sticks) are (very) sensitive to static electrical fields and aging, but insensitive to light and static magnetic fields as well as vibrations.
Magnetic disks (fixed disks) are sensitive to vibrations (generally in operation) static electrical and magnetic fields, but insensitive to light and aging.
Most devices no longer have CD/DVD drives. DVDs are also slow. There is a USB stick much faster and you can better delete and write files. USB sticks also offer more storage space. But as backup of data you can still use DVDs when you already have them. Best regards
