Difference between Kiox 300 and Intuvia 100 when using the Flow app in the Bosch smart system?
Bosch offers various displays in its new smart system for pedelecs (e-bikes). These are usually the Intuvia 100 or Kiox 300. Both systems can be controlled via the app, effectively using your own phone as a display.
Aside from the hardware differences (display, cable), are there also differences in the app's functions (whether with Intuvia or Kiox)? I don't really see the advantage of using Kiox since I'm using my phone anyway. Does anyone have any experience with this?
At Intuvia you have no navigation in it, is a black white display and has only the simplest things to display are with + it runs over a button cell and is connected to your wheel only via Bluetooth. Backlight goes straight after a few seconds and you can compare with an original gameboy. The display is NOT controllable via the app.
The Kiox has a color display and offers significantly more display, eg, pedal frequency and can navigate if you have navigation in the Flow app. In addition, it is properly connected to the wheel by cable. The Kiox holder can also be used for a SmartGrip (adjusts 50€) so that you can use your phone as a display (Kiox Down, SmartGrip up, very easy) to load your phone directly on through inductive. With the Kiox, you will only be using the app when you start navigation. The phone can stay in the bag.
At the Spartgrip, your phone is turned to the display as already mentioned. You can activate it as a display in the Tap "Map /Map" under "Ride Screen". Pays for wheels that already have the Kiox. Wheels without display or with Intuvia: you need all holders and cables as for the Kiox. And the grip itself.
That's true, the connection happens to me in Kiox and Intuvia via Bluetooth via the control unit.
I'm very practical with the store. But I can also attach a mobile phone holder to the Intuvia and use my phone as a display via the Flow app.
So the Kiox is just an expensive/colorful charging station(?). 🤔
So in the station you can also control the phone with the arrow keys on the control unit to the right and to the left (eg, switch between card and display back and forth) without holding it does not go
Very strange, try it again. Can't be. Do you have to do the Kiox 300 display before? Did you try that? So the last update made on it?
If I have my Intuvia display on it, I can't control it anymore. Maybe the Kiox is pushing your phone. I'd be interested.
At least with my phone you can't turn left and right back and forth in the app without grip.
I tried it now. But you can also mount the mobile phone/flowApp in a normal holder and then control it with the control unit. Makes sense as it is controlled via Bluetooth (and not via the grip).
It remains at the end "only" the advantage of charging the phone. "Only" in quotations, because that is quite practical. I have therefore opted for the Intuvia as a permanent display (can be very fast and stretched out) plus the Kiox arm but without a 300 display, I chose the grip. So I can always see speed, time, kilometers and battery on the display and use Google maps or other maps in parallel or the FlowApp for other details.
That's another argument for Kiox. Especially if you were on the go, that's another advantage. Thank you for all the comments :).
