What disease could I have in my neck?

Hello, first of all I would like to say that I will see a doctor as soon as I get back from vacation, but I just wanted to ask.

I recently had a rather large lump in my throat. I could feel a slight pressure. I got sick half a week later (with a fever and, above all, a runny nose). Now the lump has gotten significantly smaller, but at least I can still feel it. Is it simply a lymph node that I've never noticed before, or what could it be? I have two of these slight lumps on my neck, but only one swelled two weeks ago. I haven't had any other symptoms.

Thanks to everyone who gives tips.

I'm typing on almond inflammation. The almonds are the "external posts" of the lymph system and try to make bacteria, viruses and other dirt harmless before they land in the lungs with the breathing air.
Of course you don't feel a lymph node if he has nothing to do and is not swollen. In total, you have 500 or 600 of these helpful secrets, well distributed over the body, nodes of the lymph tracks.
