Family planning/own life?

Hello,

I'd be interested to know how you manage your life and family planning. I'll be honest, I'm still a little unsure about that.

About us: We've known each other since 8th grade, been together since 10th grade, and married this year. Having children was always on our agenda. We love children, but we also enjoy our time without them. We haven't traveled much because we never really had the means (training/further education/building a house/wedding), so now I want to catch up and see as much of the world as possible.
I imagine that would be a bit difficult with a child. We have two dogs, and even that can be a challenge to travel with.

I work in a hospital and he works in a trade. One child would definitely be taken care of.

My parents would be thrilled. The only contact I have with my in-laws is my father, who would be happy too. I'd say everyone there would support it. Our friends, too, seem to be planning everything.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to be persuaded to do anything, but I just have to plan everything a little bit, or I don't know how to put it. I'm afraid I'll fall by the wayside and not be able to achieve my goals.

My husband would love to have a child now. He doesn't persuade me to do anything; he's solution-oriented, supports me in my concerns, and understands me.

There's no rush to have kids either. We've talked about it so many times, but these things scare me a little. I don't know if it will just go away eventually, or if it'll be there forever. Or is it simply a "risk" once it's there? Do you just have to get over it?

So I'm ready for your experiences, tips and tricks.

We have 2 dogs and even that is sometimes a challenge to travel.

I repeatedly notice that dog owners are less flexible than families with children, not only when planning vacations, but also when it comes to leisure activities and daily life.

Wishing you all the best!

I can't quite understand your accusation of prejudice right now.
