Contact lenses forgotten in package, still usable?

Hello, I ordered soft contact lenses that last a month in June, but I put them aside and completely forgot about them. Now I've found the package again and wanted to ask if I can still use the contact lenses, since they are completely packaged and unused, or if I should buy new ones because they've already expired. I'm always extra careful with eye things like this.

Contact lenses are medical devices, and if the expiration date has passed, you should no longer use them, even if they are still sealed.

If you ordered them in June, they most likely haven't expired yet. It's important that the individual lenses are still in their sealed containers. You'll also find the expiration date printed there. If this is still in the future (which I strongly suspect), you can use the lenses. Provided they weren't stored in a room with temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius and in direct sunlight. But that doesn't sound like it. 🙂

As long as the packaging has never been opened, the expiration date printed on the packaging applies. It's the same as with any medication.
