50cc scooter without license allowed in Poland from 18?

Hello, my family, or rather my mother's side, is Polish, and we're going on vacation to Poland. I heard that you can legally ride a 50cc scooter there without a license if you're 18. Is that true? I've googled it a bit online, but I keep finding contradictions… I'm not entirely sure. I was planning on renting a scooter there for a week.

Well, I also got a 25-liter test license here in Germany when I was 15. I've read a lot of things about only having to take tests at the police station. I mean, I went to driving school and took a test at the TÜV (Technical Inspection Authority). So, if that's really true, it should work, right? ;D
