50 cc scooter cracking in the front wheel?

Hello dear people,

I have a new, two-month-old Peugeot Rollet 50cc, and for some time now, I've noticed a creaking noise coming from the front wheel. I've taken a closer look, but I can't find anything. However, I'm a layman. The creaking noise always occurs exactly after each rotation of the wheel. The wheel itself has no play. I haven't been in an accident, and I haven't driven off any curbs, etc., improperly. Currently, the mileage is about 400. Does anyone have any advice?

If you can exclude the dampers, only the wheel bearings remain.

The crack can come from a defective bearing or from the tacho drive.

The scooter is new; please ask the dealer.

“Even small children die,” they say.

I know a case where jmd. got his new scooter at the dealer, went home, turned on the way, because he heard a crack all along. Bearing in front wheel defective. Sometimes you’re not in there, that’s what happens.

Of course, it is difficult to judge from a distance.

Please put the scooter so that the front wheel is free and rotate it. Can happen that you don’t hear anything because the wheel isn’t loaded, but if you hear anything, you know where it comes from. But it can also be the speedometer drive.

You can drive quietly but you should also go to the dealer.
