4K Monitor, aber nur HDMI 1.4?
Hallo zusammen!
Ich bin auf der Suche nach einem neuen Monitor in 28″ (habe aktuell einen 32″, verbunden mit HDMI 1.4b und liefert 60Hz / 1920×1080 derzeit) und nach Umstellung des Arbeitsplatzes wäre ein etwas kleinerer denke ich doch feiner zum Arbeiten – sitze nun nämlich gerade davor und der Schreibtisch ist nur 75 cm tief). Und 28″ deshalb weil er doch noch um einen Ticken größer ist als 27, aber da finde ich irgendwie nur 4K Monitore.
Daher die Frage, da mein PC nur einen HDMI 1.4b hat (VGA noch, aber kein Display-Port), ob ich dann einfach nicht mit 4K Auflösung arbeiten muss, sondern einfach eine niedrigere wählen kann, welche der PC eben über HDMI 1.4b hergibt? Ich zocke nicht, ist also nur für Büroarbeiten und etwas Internetsurfen, mit gelegentlichem Streamen. Also wäre das grundsätzlich möglich, dass man so auch ein gutes Bild erhält oder muss ich einfach weitersuchen um einen mit WQHD zu finden oder so?
Steh da gerade echt am Schlauch und daher vielen lieben Dank für eine kurze Hilfestellung.

So first of all to the other answers:
Which resolution is reasonable does not depend on whether you are shocked or work office done.
Also with office and surfing on the Internet, you can enjoy a sharp picture.
No, so yes, you can run a screen with lower resolution, but outside the native resolution, the image becomes even more blurred than with a screen whose native resolution is simply lower.
The 2.5cm does not make too big a difference now, and in 27″ you will find massive screens in QHD resolution (2560×1440)
QHD can easily output your computer with 60Hz, the higher pixel density due to the combination of smaller display and higher resolution will certainly notice you positively than sharper image.
Your PC can 4k, but only with 30Hz

With a beautiful contrasting and colourful panel, you will definitely be happy about the upgrade.
So working for Office is a 4K resolution a bit superfluous because your previous triggering is completely enough.
Thank you Gordiorbi. The real question, however, is whether I can operate the 4K at all reasonably if there is only HDMI 1.4b, or if that would only provide a bad picture with a lower resolution? Thank you.
Since the HDMI version number cannot draw conclusions about the supported functions. for example, an interface of version 1.4 does not have to have more functions than an interface of version 1.0. As long as the PC and monitor both have an HDMI connection you can operate it reasonably with each other!
No one prevents you from running a 4K screen with lower resolution.

Thank you, but that it is unnecessary, I know, but somehow I find only 4K with 28″ at a reasonable price 🙂 therefore the question whether I could still connect it with a beautiful picture.
