1. Clogging in the hotend

Even if you have exchanged the hotend, it can be that the new print head is blocked.

• Test:Try to push the filament manually through the hot end (at the right temperature for your filament). If it goes through hard, it’s blocked.
• Solution:
• Heat the printer to the appropriate temperature.
• Use a thin cleaning needle to clean the nozzle.
• Alternatively, you can expand the nozzle and clean it with a flame or a special cleaning agent.

Two. Extruder does not work properly

The extruder could not properly grasp or promote the filament.

• Test:
• Watch if the extruder wheel turns while the printer works.
• Do you hear a click? This means that the filament is blocked.
• Solution:
• Check whether the extruder grips the filament correctly. Clean the gear or tighten the clamping screw.
• Test with a new piece of filament if the current is damaged or deformed.

3. Temperature problem

The hot end could not reach the correct temperature, so that the filament does not melt.

• Test:
• In the printer settings, check whether the temperature for the hotend is displayed correctly.
• Make sure that the filament fits your temperature setting.
• Solution:
• Check the thermal sensor and the heating bed cable. Sometimes the cables are loose or damaged.

4. filament feed blocked

The filament could be stuck in the Bowden tube or directly in front of the hotend.

• Test:Remove the filament and check whether it is smooth or deformed.
• Solution:Run the Bowden tube and clean it to make sure nothing is blocked.

Five. Mainboard or motor problem

If the extruder motor makes noise, but does not turn properly, a hardware deficient could be present.

• Test:Test the extruder engine via the printer menu to see if it can move manually.
• Solution:
• Control the cable connections between mainboard and extruder engine.
• If possible, test the extruder engine with another cable or port on the motherboard.
