2 stroke piston and cylinder lifespan?

Hello,

I bought a 2009 Yamaha YZ 250 yesterday. The previous owner has apparently replaced the piston, crankshaft, all bearings, and seals at about 100 hours. It's now at 140 hours, and my question is, when would you say the piston needs to be replaced, and how do you know?

I would also be interested in the cylinder lifespan of such a cross, assuming that I am a hobby rider and do not constantly rely on the gas.

And I have one more question. The manual says I should drive with a 1:30 mixture, but that seems a bit too rich for my driving style. Would 1:40 or 1:50 be enough?

Thank you in advance.

I'd stick to the manual. They tested it professionally. 1:40 might have left. Changing the stuff depends on how you drive. Directive is approx. 100 Bh. I'm fine till 150 Bh. If you keep all service intervals and they tend to be higher. How to know is difficult to say. If it makes funny sounds, it's almost too late 😀 Is there anything else in your manual?

All four times you're getting poor. You got a bra counter on it?

If you have 1,100 tanks I can tell the much more precise how long your cylinder keeps!
