2 euro coin 2001 France?
Hello, since I know absolutely nothing about coins, I have a question about one of my coins. Not everything seems to be minted correctly, for example, the date or some of the stars are missing tips. Is this coin worth anything? Please save yourself answers like "Congratulations, this coin is worth 2 euros" or anything like that. I'm asking this question because I'm unsure, not because I expect to get rich off it.
Thank you in advance.
Greetings Jen

Moin Bambam,
Your coin is a normal circulation coin worth 2.00€ from France and has been coined in a very high number of pieces.
coining course coins is a mass production,
Time is money, there is not great respect for quality, here is mass.
It is simply impossible that the embossing of millions of coins of a value unit, all 100% equal. Therefore, certain tolerance values are established. Since the tools also change/abuse during embossing.
If the tolerance values are significantly exceeded (which are defined), incorrect imprints can occur.
Faulty embossments arise due to errors in the coin image and only, either before or during the embossing process. As a rule, such coins are recognized and sorted out in the embossing institution. But some coins can get into circulation.
All damages or traces of use are not considered to be embossed.
manipulations of the coin are under penalty and the coin is worthless.
The following are considered:
Use of outdated stamps, embossing on wrong round, die rotation, double embossing, fence end, embossing weakness, decentralization, double sinking, light radiant embossing.
The collector value of a coin is always dependent on the condition:
The names for the condition are:
From very good PP over pl; st; vz; ss; to very poor (used circulation coin) s.
This allows you to determine the value of your coin.
Each embossing has deviations, these do not lead to misprinting.

Thank you, thank you for your detailed answer. It is difficult to see if something is really shaped. So much imputed on the net, because I simply leave it. But well, thank you again.
Love greetings

Misalignments are extremely rare in circulation, since the final control in the embossing installations is very strict, but errors can occur.
This has actually been slightly decentralized. This is also seen at the core, which is slightly lower in the ring.
This results in the fact that on the one hand the number of years has been slightly impressed into the core (decentration) and on the other hand that the lower stars are not pronounced and the peaks are lacking at the transition to the core. The latter is due to the fact that the core has not been pressed uniformly into the ring and lies deeper in the lower region.
This circumstance can be referred to as incorrect embossing, wherein under collectors this term is used only when the incorrect embossing is so pronounced that the coin is sorted out normally and has only accidentally passed the quality control.
With your coin, one speaks more of “deviation in the tolerance range” which is very common in such embossments and is not exceptional. The committee would be too big.
That is to say that such deviations are so slight and usually only visible in the stars that it does not represent a rarity and hardly noticeable.
Unfortunately, many large online auction houses are full of offers, where horrendous prices for misprints are proclaimed, which often relate to such deviations in the stars.
Only collectors are not achieved with this because the imprint is hardly recognizable and there are too many such alleged misprints.
If you’re pleased with this mistake, the “nice to have”, but it doesn’t bring a multi-wet.
This is a normal short coin value 2 Euro
Congratulations this coin is worth 2 euros.
Otherwise, wear marks on a 23-year-old coin are not unusual.
Congratulations this coin is worth 2 euros.
the coin is worth 2 euro. cordial gratitude
A normal circulation coin. 😉
The coin is worth two euros, and what I’m saving you don’t decide!
