1&1 DSL – was I ripped off?

Hello everyone,

I moved out of my apartment and back to my parents' house shortly before my contract ended.
In a first phone call I was told that I had the right to special termination and that the contract could be terminated.
No sooner said than done… of course it didn't work, the right to special termination doesn't apply in this case.

In the end, my contract would have continued for another two months at over €50. So I was a little annoyed, so I contacted them. When I finally got a friendly representative on the line and he explained to me again that there was no easy way out, he suggested something.
I was supposed to extend my contract now and then exercise my right of withdrawal. I did that, too. And lo and behold, it didn't work. Now I'm stuck with a contract worth over €50 until October 26.

My question is, was I pulled over the Tisvh and do I have a chance of getting out of the contract given this background?

tja… once again 1&1 no wonder

yes You were fucked

You should have just bite in the sour apple, moan two months and quit in due time and then be done

So you only have the usual right to revoke and if this is due to terminate directly in due time and hope that the knits you don’t have will turn it out, which makes 1&1 happy

If you have revoked correctly and in time, they cannot ignore it. But some like to do.

Go to the consumer center.

Is DSL available to your parents?

If yes you were not taken off

The direct special right of termination only applies if the same type of connection is not possible at the new address.

Otherwise you have to pay 3 months more

also move around and deal with it

all good

Revocation the new contract, then you will not get rid of the old one, but the new one might still be..

Otherwise, let the contract move to your parents, then you have your own lead there – maybe your parents want to separate from their provider…

Let yourself be consulted for an emergency…

If the provider cannot provide a connection to the new address. Imho should also seize this when a connection is already connected there and accordingly no line is free anymore.
