1 TB external hard drive a very fast one?

Hey

I don't want to install a 1 TB SSD hard drive because it would be too stressful, which is why I want an external one. As everyone knows, a 1 TB external hard drive isn't recommended due to the loading speed… now comes the "good question": Is there a 1 TB external hard drive that has a really fast loading speed, just like a regular 1 TB hard drive? It can easily cost 70-80 euros.

The best way to build an external hard drive yourself. Then you get exactly what you want.

To do this, you buy a normal SSD as if you want to install it. Then a matching USB3.0 (or higher) empty housing. Put together and get happy.

Here you have a much higher selection and if the USB electronics are broken (maybe more often) You can easily buy and use a new empty case.

You have the choice between “normal” SSD (2.5″) or NVMe modules. The latter are much smaller but more expensive.

By USB3.0 the external SSD plate is very fast, even faster than an internal mechanical HDD.

If you need a lot of storage for little money, then take a mechanical HDD.

If this is to be stationary anyway, you’ll best buy a NAS, so hard drive that can be used by LAN. At 1GB LAN you get about 60 MB/s what is completely enough for most things. The advantage is that the thing does not have to be connected to the PC/laptop and you can use it from all devices in the LAN/WLAN and exchange data quickly and easily, e.g. between mobile phone and PC.

What does she say? please $70-80? 70-80€ are just the lower limit for 1TB SSDs whether internal or external.

An M2 SSD would be the right choice for maximum speed and normally you don’t even have to write big for it. Open the front of the housing, release two screws on the cover, insert it and that was in principle. It doesn’t take more than 10 minutes.

An external SSD is normally connected via USB or USB-c, in short, not the SSD itself is the problem, but the interface and cannot be solved either. Depending on how important you are, you either have to buy the slower speed or take a few minutes to install an SSD.

Moin,

I have a 500GB external Toshiba Cavoi Basic for my laptop and I have no change in loading times in games.

Also respond to your USB slots, look for a Toshiba Cavoi Gaming.

You may not notice it, but externally is much slower.

Your external plate transmits with USB.3.0 120MB/s.

600MB/s with SATA and 4000MB/s with M.2

It may be, only it does not affect the charging times in games, in my opinion.

No matter what game, whether GTA, R6 or FN it invites on my laptop whether on SSD or HDD externally.

For around 100€ you will get such a “fast” external hard drive, but this is then slower by a factor of 10 than if you are installing a 100€ M.2 hard drive internally.

the problem is not external FB but the interfaces that the computer provides to the outside.
Ideally, it would be if the so to speak is connected in parallel to the internal via corresponding bus (SCSI )
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_Computer_System_Interface#The_different_SCSI standards

Then it would be as fast or almost as fast as the already installed
