1. Riding lesson?

Hello,

I have my first riding lesson next Sunday. But I'm not sure what to wear. The woman said I could borrow the helmet and that I needed ankle boots and long pants.
Do they have to be tight pants? Because I usually only have baggy or flared jeans. Would pants with a tighter flare, like a bootcut, work?

It's probably cold, too. Can I keep my winter jacket on, or should I wear a lighter jacket? Or should I just ride in a sweater or something?

So what will actually be done in the riding lesson? Well, it's a lunge lesson.

Should I be there earlier then?

Many thanks in advance

Hello

You better wear a jeans. Or if you have a long sports pants. A tight fit would be optimal, but if you don’t have one, you’ll get a little further.

As a jacket, I’d just wear a normal one that can get dirty. Shoes you prefer to wear hiking shoes or which have a slight heel (approx.1cm).

In the 1st riding lesson, you’ll probably do some balance exercises on the horse to get a feeling for it. Maybe you can already wear or gallopir.

You’ll be there 5-10 minutes before you can’t wear a helmet and discuss any questions.

I wish you a lot of fun

Love greetings

half an hour before it makes a good impression. if you don’t finish the horse yourself, you can look around.

because no one knows the reiterhof where you go, no one knows anything about the infrastructure.

long crooks, the pants shouldn’t be too far – otherwise she’s shying you up the legs and, in addition, there’s a risk that you’re stuck somewhere on the saddle.

IMPORTANT:

gloves.

for the first riding hours the very cheap normal thin finger gloves are sufficient. should be at kik, tedi etc. for 1 – 2 euro.

The pants must provide you with plenty of freedom of movement to be able to bring up the leg above the horse’s back when sitting, but not too far as it otherwise throws wrinkles that shy. Bootcut could go.

Normally, you should not be too tight to teach so that the riding teacher can see and correct your attitude better. You’ll also get to sweat later. But for the first riding lesson it’s okay – it’s all about getting to know the horse. No one will ask you to freeze. Mainly, you can move well.

Important are finger gloves, which must not be too thick so that you can hold.

Shoes best in style of Chelsea – Boots. Sometimes you get it in the supermarket for 10 – 30 €. So much should be invested for the start, if there is nothing like that.

The “long pants” don’t have to be big. But a trouser leg on which the fabric goes far slack is not for safety reasons. You can easily catch where you should fall down and you can’t. Apart from that, such a pants would also be very uncomfortable and you would rub up

Bootcut jeans will definitely go for the beginning and for “trying out riding lesson”. But if you keep track of the hobby, you should get a riding pants without an inner-legged seam. They are also needed and they are not expensive!

Regarding jacket or pullie.. also there should not be unnecessary extremely much extra fabric – for the same reasons as the pants. If you are in a riding hall without wind, then a sweater will probably also do. Because even a novice doesn’t just sit up. Riding is actually sports and you will be warm!

Gloves are important. You can just take some for now. You’re not going to get reins anyway.

You will explain a few things from the ground, then you may rise and the horse will be guided in step. If you’re halfway, you could have a short time. Much more will not happen.

Do you want me to be there before?

You should have talked about it when you booked the hour. Usually, choirs should prepare their horses themselves for teaching. Yeah, you don’t know how… but that’s why it’s important to learn to talk and ask when to appear when you’re not sure!

Baggy or Flared can be forgotten on the horse – the “slip” too much and the wrinkles rub your legs unpleasantly. The boat cab should go for the beginning when it lies close to the thigh. Otherwise, a legging would also be an option if it does not have too slippery material.

In the shoes, make sure they have a minimum heel – so no completely flat sole. Otherwise you can slip through the bow, which can become really dangerous. Maybe you have light boots or in case of emergency walking shoes that you can use for it. Google after “R riding boots”, then you know what “type shoe” it should be.

Above is an onion principle: long-sleeved shirt + more tightly fitted sweater if it quickly freezes you and a jacket that can definitely get dirty and where you can move well.

Wear long hair in the braid and additionally have gloves in the weather.

Enjoy the first riding lesson!

A legging or a good sitting jeans yes, but without a punch, bootcut is okay.

Shoes with a heel – many have in winter anyway.

yes it must be a tight pants. By standing pants you can hang in the saddle with a slight storm and hurt you harder. In addition, the trousers can also trigger the escape instinct on a horse. If the riding instructor is serious, she would send you home with such an ass.

Winter jacket comes for the same reasons as above. Take a tight sweater. You’ll be warm at a long hour. The horse runs in a circle and you sit on it. Without experience, there is a maximum step and wear in it.

You should have asked the riding teacher. We always had to saddle the horses beforehand and clean them – you have to be there accordingly early.

You don’t need special riding clothes yet. Half boots and best a tight jeans are enough for the first. As it is cold in the riding hall, a winter jacket or a thick sweater with a vest is not wrong.

In the first Longen lesson you have to make it to stay on the horse. You don’t have to do that before, a quarter of an hour.

Have fun!
