I bought some 1st class train upgrade codes.
Now I wanted to select first-class reservations for both of us, but unfortunately, you can only enter "one" access code and select only "one" reservation, so the process has to be repeated.
How does it work that I get two seats "together" for us?

How do I get the ticket
Let's say I bought a ticket from a ticket machine, but I don't want to use it right away. Is that possible? Or do I have to use the ticket immediately? And if possible, how long is the ticket valid? Could I buy a ticket a month in advance, for example?
I don’t know how these “codes” work exactly, but you can definitely book space reservations regardless of the ticket (of course they are no longer in vain if they were otherwise).
Otherwise, there should be the possibility to select a specific seat directly, and one should also see if the next is still free. Of course, there is no guarantee, but if you hurry, it should be quite unlikely that someone in the few minutes/seconds between the one and the other reservation “takes away”.
