1&1 250k line but only 216k arrive?

Hi, about 3 weeks ago I switched from a 100k line to a 250k line (1and1)

The 100k always arrived 100% in my house and I never had any problems with it.

Since the 250k line I've had some problems with my internet. Firstly, I only get 216k most of the time and the connection often drops for 5-10 minutes (I don't even get 200 mbits on my PC when I do a speed test) and on some days, if I'm lucky after the daily router restart at 3 a.m., I actually get 238k in the user interface but that really only happens rarely.

Today a technician was already at the distribution box on the street and I was informed via text message that the problem had supposedly been resolved, but it doesn't look like it has.

EDIT: All the problems mentioned above are supposed to have been solved today but I just noticed that since the technician's visit even less has arrived than before haha

Can anyone tell me what's wrong? I have the standard Fritzbox 7590.

You should take a look at the performance description of this product: Article 1

  • minimum 105,000 KBit/s
  • normal 200,000 kbits
  • maximum 250,000 Kbit/s

With your Sync, you are still far in the secured range (>= 105 k).

By the way, this is not only in 1&1 but rather in the same way in all providers, which is not to be expected otherwise when using vectoring.

What could really be done can be estimated in the FritzBox under “control capacity”. That’s all. Also not with another DSL provider.

So it’s better to adjust the speed to such an extent that it doesn’t come to complete breaks (Resync).

Unfortunately, that can happen. Vectoring is less tolerant than VDSL. Try to get a little more on stability in the interference safety settings.

There are not always 250 in a 250-connection (via copper lines), as here the limit for your line seems to be, there will not be any more…

If you have an unstable network, in the Fritzbox under Internet>DSL information>Security, you can adjust the level experimentally in the direction of maximum stability until these failures are no longer or almost no longer exist…

But then the speed goes a bit back

Go back to 100 Mbit or live with it, what else will not remain to you (except a provider change?). 1&1 is not unknown to exploit services which are purely theoretically possible but in practice do not go.

Open your device manager go on view let the hidden ads go to the network adapters and uninstall everything you find there, start PC New and then install if necessary what you need for your internet connection!

It doesn’t matter if the problem is in the WAN…

Yes, after restarting your PC installs everything on factory setting

that’s why you want to open the settings menu from the router in the browser qousi

What are you doing? He has a problem on the WAN side, not on the LAN!

then open the system configuration settings in the browser from your routers and allow and increase the throughput rate there

And then? The Frustbox <-> DSLAM connection is still as unstable as before. Your approach is only possible. Improving the problem in the LAN.
